The Ourika Valley is the closest day trip from Marrakech, but it’s not just its convenience that makes it special. Drive towards the Atlas Mountains, taking in the beautiful landscape of green meadows and authentic 16th and 17th-century Berber villages. 3 VALLEYS ATLAS MOUNTAIN              60

Depart Marrakech in the morning at around 08:00 and drive for 1 hour to the Ourika Setti Fatma cascade. Head into the village, where you will be welcomed, and see the streams and paths branching out in all directions. Experience the dramatic scenery.
Continue into the Sidi Faress, passing Oukaymden Mountains. Trek to the Berber village of Sidi Faress. Stop for lunch at the glorious local guest house.
Return down the other side of the valley via Tahanaout Village and continue to Marrakech for your drop off at your accommodation place.

When you arrive at Ouirgane, take in the wonderful views and see the variety of bird life, while taking a walking tour of the area. Use your free time to explore the village. In recent years a dam was built, creating a reservoir which adds to the visual appeal of the valley. Enjoy lunch at a local place. Visit on Thursdays, and see the markets that are open.

Escape the hustle and bustle of Marrakech for a full-day tour to the dramatic Ouzoud Falls, located near the Grand Atlas village of Tanaghmeilt in the province of Azilal.
Following a pick-up from your hotel or riad, transfer to the Ouzoud Falls by air-conditioned minibus. Along the way, marvel at the traditional towns and typical Berber villages of the Grand Atlas, and pass through the shade of ancient olive trees as you approach the waterfalls.
Upon arrival at Ouzoud, after an approximate 3-hour drive, enjoy about 4 hours at the cascades to soak up nature. Look out for the resident monkeys, and take a swim in the crystal clear waters. Leave Marrakech at 08:00, ready for a 3-hour journey to the beautiful Essaouira on the Atlantic Coast.
Once you arrive at the port city, formerly known as Mogador, you will have time to enjoy the charming sights of Essaouira, including its ocher-colored walls, the beautiful Moulay El Hassan square, and the souks, as well as the little streets of the city’s old Medina.
During your trip, enjoy a lunch of fresh fish in a local restaurant. Visit an association of Berber women producing Argan oil, see the local markets, and marvel at the gems in the Jeweler’s quarter.

Start your day trip at 07:00 with a pick-up from your Marrakech accommodation. Hop inside your air-conditioned car, and soak up the scenery as you travel into the Atlas Mountains.
Learn about life in the mountain villages, and cross the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka pass, climbing to 7,415 feet (2,260 meters) en route.
The trip takes around 3 hours each way. The first stop is at the top of Tizi n’Tichka, the second at Kasbah Ait Benhaddou (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the third at Ouarzazate (The Hollywood of Africa).
Return to Marrakech, where you will be dropped off at your accommodation in Marrakech at approximately 19:30.

Continue to a peaceful enclosure in the Kasbah to see the Saadian Tombs, dating back to the 16th century of Sultan Ahmad al-Mansu. Admire the colorful tiles, Arabic script, and intricate carvings hidden to the world after they were sealed up until 1917.
Next, spend an hour at the 19th-century Bahia Palace, built in seven years by 1,000 craftsmen from Fez. Intended to be the greatest example of Moroccan and Islamic architecture in the world, a haphazard arrangement of secret apartments open onto inner courtyards, set in the centre of a 2-acre garden.
Then go to Jemaa El-Fnaa, Marrakech’s main square and the market place. Through the Medina, there are different souks to explore. From the silk-spinners and the spice sellers, to carpets and crystals. Each little street has its own identity and its own unique selling point.

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Tinghir
After an early departure from the Marrakech hotel, your journey begins by crossing the High Atlas Mountains past one Berber village after another to the UNESCO world heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, famous for its Kasbah and fortified village, and previously used as a set for some famous Hollywood epics, as well as a backdrop for some fashion magazine photo shoots. After some leisure time to explore the village, enjoy lunch  at a local restaurant. Continue your drive through Ouarzazate, known as the Gate of the Sahara, and onto Boumalne Dades, admiring the scenic drive along the road to Tinghir, where you can enjoy dinner and an overnight stop.
Day 2: Tinghir – Todgha Gorges – Merzouga
Following breakfast, depart your hotel and drive to the dramatic Todgha Gorges, pausing for some free time to explore the canyons and a lunch at a local café. Continue to Merzouga to meet your camel caravan, and experience the Erg Chebbi dunes on camelback, and watch the sunset change the color of the sand. Reach your desert camp before nightfall, and enjoy an authentic Moroccan dinner under the stars. Local nomads will provide the entertainment and show you how to play the Tam Tam drums. Overnight accommodation at a bedouin camp.
Day 3: Merzouga Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Following an early wake up to watch the sunrise before breakfast, (optional), ride your camel back to the main road. Your driver will be waiting to pick you up for the transfer back to Marrakech with a stop halfway for lunch in Ouarzazate.

Climb the beautiful Mount Toubkal on this glorious 3-day trek through the wilderness, and visit some of the most spectacular places in the region, including the village of Imlil, the Toubkal Massif, the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch and the summit of Jebel Toubkal.
Day 1: depart  from Marrakech to the city of Imlil, an excursion that takes up to 4 hours. Settle into your accommodation in Imlil and rest up for the big trek in the morning.
Day 2: Imlil and The Trek to Toubkal Refuge via Aremd & the Mizane Valley
Leaving the city behind, enjoy a scenic ride south towards the craggy peaks and plunging valleys of the Toubkal Massif. Admire the valleys of the Oued Rhirhaia that stretch out into the distance as you disembark your vehicle and join your mountain guide for a trek along Mizane Valley toward the village of Aremd, and then onto the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch and the cascading waterfall that rests beside it. Continue the trek, snaking and zigzagging your way up to the snow-line and the Toukbal Refuge, where you will stop for the night. (4-5 hours of walking)
Day 3 : Begin the day early as you continue your trek to the summit of Jebel Toukbal, the highest peak at 4,167 meters in Northern Africa. Cross river streams and head across the fields of the mountains, navigating the endless carpet of boulders and rocks. Cresting the ridge line, find yourself on the plateau, and stop to admire the breathtaking vistas of the surrounding landscape, including unrestricted views from the Marrakech Plain to the High Atlas in the north and as far south as the Anti-Atlas and the Sahara.
Once you have reached the summit, gingerly begin your journey back down the mountain and towards Imlil. Transfer back to Marrakech.
